Bark Baller · South Florida

I'm Alejandro, a sophomore at American Heritage Plantation in South Florida. Since I was five, I've been on or around tennis courts. After years of training and competing, I noticed how often old tennis balls at tournaments and academies were constantly being replaced — and I started wondering where all those used balls actually go.

After some research, I learned that tens of millions of used tennis balls end up in trash cans, landfills, and even nearby lakes every year. That sent me looking for a way to do something impactful for the environment and my community. I started collecting balls over a year ago, and with the help of six local tennis coaches and academies, I've collected over 5,000 so far.

Natalie and the team at Bark Balls have been the ideal partner for this passion project — guiding and supporting it every step of the way. Bark Balls makes sure the balls I collect get a second life as fetch toys for dogs, while supporting shelters and environmental causes. Give a Bark!
